Edwin Diaz made a spectacular first impression during his Dodgers debut on Friday night. However, this time there was a unique twist: Los Angeles-based trumpeter Tatiana Tate performed the electrifying anthem live inside the stadium as Diaz made his way in from left field.

“I was genuinely surprised,” Diaz admitted. “I heard a trumpet sounding before I even walked out. I thought, ‘No way, they actually have a live trumpet!’ It was incredibly fun. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I could tell the fans did too.”
Manager Dave Roberts, however, had an inkling of the grand spectacle to come. “I had received word that there might be a trumpet player involved,” Roberts commented. “I was really hoping we could make it happen, and it certainly did. I believe the fans absolutely got the moment they were anticipating.”
Diaz has famously adopted ‘Narco’ as his electrifying entrance theme throughout his impressive career, notably with the Mets. A particularly iconic moment occurred in August 2022, when Timmy Trumpet himself performed the track live from the third-base line at Citi Field during a Mets victory over the Dodgers. More recently, Diaz also utilized the song for his entrance while representing Puerto Rico at the World Baseball Classic in San Juan earlier this month.
