Celtics
The Hawks continue to be mentioned as a potential landing spot for Celtics star Jaylen Brown.
CBS Sports’ Sam Quinn recently suggested Atlanta may now possess one of the more intriguing trade packages after selecting guard Kingston Flemings in the first round of the NBA Draft.
According to Quinn, Flemings could become part of a larger package if Boston decides to move Brown.
The Celtics have been linked to trade discussions involving Brown ever since their pursuit of Giannis Antetokounmpo fell short, though there has been no indication a deal is imminent.
Atlanta, Houston, New Orleans and Portland have all surfaced as possible suitors in recent days.
Pistons
Jalen Duren’s future has also become a topic of discussion around the league.
Quinn suggested the Lakers and Bulls could emerge as potential suitors if Detroit becomes hesitant to hand the young center a lucrative long-term contract.
Duren is eligible for a rookie extension this offseason after averaging another strong regular season, though his production dipped during the playoffs.
Despite the outside speculation, all signs continue to point toward Duren remaining with the Pistons.
Spurs
Could Kawhi Leonard return to San Antonio?
It’s far from a certainty, but ESPN’s Bobby Marks recently mentioned Leonard’s former teams when discussing clubs that could have interest if the Clippers ultimately explore a trade.
That prompted renewed speculation about a possible reunion with the Spurs, despite the well-documented split between Leonard and the franchise in 2018.
At this point, however, there is no indication San Antonio is actively pursuing a deal.
Basically, the Spurs appear to be just one of several teams monitoring Leonard’s situation should the Clippers decide to make a move.
